The crew that dries your home rebuilds it
We repair water damage in-house: drywall, insulation, framing, trim, flooring and paint, done by the same crew that dried your home. You get one company and one estimate from the day the water shows up to the day the room is finished.
The company is owned by Curtis Berg, a Navy Seabees veteran with 42 years as a journeyman builder. Rebuilding is not a side service here. It is the work the owner has done for 42 years.
Why the handoff hurts
Many water damage companies stop at drying. You end up with a gutted room, a stack of drying reports and a list of contractors to call. Then you wait for new bids and a new schedule, and the new crew has to guess what was behind the walls. Every gap between companies is time you live with bare studs and concrete floors.
When one crew does both, the rebuild is planned before the first piece of drywall comes out. We cut along lines that are easy to patch, save trim that can be reused, and photograph and measure what was there so it goes back the same way.
What we rebuild after water damage
- Framing. Bottom plates, studs and subfloor that rotted or warped.
- Insulation. Wall and ceiling insulation that was soaked and removed.
- Drywall. Hang, tape, finish and texture to match the rest of the room.
- Trim and doors. Baseboard, casing and door jambs that swelled.
- Flooring. Carpet, vinyl plank, laminate and hardwood replaced or refinished.
- Paint. Patched walls and ceilings primed and painted.
Common rebuilds after water damage
- A finished basement after a flood. The bottom two feet of drywall, insulation, baseboard and carpet or plank flooring, plus anything else the water line reached.
- A kitchen after a dishwasher or ice maker leak. Subfloor and flooring under the cabinets, toe kicks, and the ceiling below if the kitchen is upstairs.
- A ceiling after a burst pipe or bathroom leak above. Drywall, insulation and paint, and sometimes the floor of the room above.
- A bathroom after a slow leak. Subfloor, wall framing behind the tub or toilet, and the finishes around it.
How a rebuild goes
It starts during the dry-out
While the drying equipment runs, we document what was removed and start the rebuild estimate. That way the repair scope is ready when the readings say dry, instead of starting from zero.
The estimate and your adjuster
We write one estimate that covers the dry-out and the rebuild, send it with photos and moisture readings to your insurer, and meet your adjuster on site to show the damage and what was removed. Your insurer decides what your policy covers, and you decide what gets built.
Choosing materials
If something cannot be matched, such as a discontinued floor or trim profile, we show you options before we order. Some homeowners use the rebuild to make a change they wanted anyway. That is your call, and we will tell you up front if a change costs more than putting it back as it was.
The work, then a walkthrough
Framing and insulation go in first, then drywall, finish, trim, paint and flooring. At the end we walk the room with you. The job is done when you are back in it.

Our process
Dry-out to rebuild, one crew
Four steps, one crew, one phone number.
- Step 1
Stop the water and pull it out
We find where the water is coming from, stop it, and extract standing water from floors, carpet and the structure.
- Step 2
Dry it out
We set dehumidifiers and air movers and take moisture readings each visit. The equipment stays until the readings say dry.
- Step 3
Document it for your adjuster
We photograph the damage, log every moisture reading, and write the estimate. We send that documentation to your insurer and meet your adjuster on site.
- Step 4
Build it back
The same crew replaces drywall, insulation, flooring, trim and paint. No handoff to a second contractor.
Insurance documentation
We work for you, not your insurance company
You hire us and we bill you. Then we give your insurer the paperwork they ask for, so you are not chasing photos and receipts while your house is torn open.
Your insurance company decides what your policy covers. We are a restoration contractor, not a public adjuster.

What your adjuster gets
Sent to your insurer, in writing
- Photos of the damage before, during and after
- Moisture readings logged on every visit
- A written estimate for the dry-out and the rebuild
- Documentation sent to your insurer
- We meet your adjuster at your home
FAQ
Water damage repair questions
Not answered here? Call (703) 783-7855, any time.
Do you do the repairs after water damage, or only the cleanup?
We do both. The same crew that dries your home rebuilds it in-house, so there is no handoff to a second contractor.
What repairs are included after water damage?
Whatever the water took out: framing repairs, insulation, drywall hanging and finishing, baseboard and trim, doors, flooring and paint.
Can you match my existing floors, trim and paint?
We aim to. We photograph and measure what was there before it comes out, and we look for matching trim profiles, flooring and paint. Some older materials are no longer made, and when that happens we show you the closest options before we install anything.
Can you repair water damage another company already dried out?
Yes. If your home was dried by someone else and you need it put back together, call us. Bring any drying records and photos you have so we can see what was removed.
Who pays for the repairs?
You hire us and we bill you. We write the rebuild estimate, send the documentation to your insurer, and meet your adjuster on site. Your insurance company decides what your policy covers.
